What makes a Shadowfire Press erotic romance different than other erotic romance publisher's ebooks?
First and foremost our books are a complete, fully realized story. While some of our erotica titles lean more heavily toward sexual content, books labled 'erotic romances' are first and foremost a great romance read. At Shadowfire Press we believe that sexual content should be the dessert that comes with a full meal of excitement, danger, the triumph of good over evil, love and romance, rather than the 'main course' of the novel or story.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes you can. We use Paypal to process our transactions. When you get to the first Paypal screen it gives you the option of paying via credit card. Just follow the simple directions to pay by credit card rather than using your Paypal balance.
Is my order secure?
Yes. Because we use Paypal in conjunction with Zencart your purchase is secure. No information regarding your Paypal account or credit card is held in our cart.
I don't live in the United States of America, can I still buy books from you?
Yes. Because we use Paypal in conjunction with Zencart you can use your Paypal balance or any major credit card to make purchases from us from wherever you live. We have customers in Japan, Finland, Sweden, Singapore, Italy, Malaysia, Canada, Germany, Poland, South Africa, New Zealand, Austraila and the UK who are already buying and reading our books.
How do I get my book?
After you make your payment you will be taken to a screen where you may easily download your purchase.
How long do I have to download a book I've purchased??
Your book remains on your personal book shelf permanently. It can be downloaded whenever you like.
Do you sell your mailing list?
No, we never sell our mailing list to anyone. We also do not share any of our information with third parties.
What formats are your ebooks in?
From 1st August 2008 until 5th Feburary 2010 Shadowfire Press ebooks were made available in the following formats: PDF, RTF, HTML and TXT directly from our site. Beginning on 19th February 2010 new releases added PDB for Palm devices and epub for smartphones. While books from before 19th Feburary 2010 are still available, the new formats have not been added to those old downloads. For additional format options on our older titles you may go to our Smashwords Store and see if the book you want is available there in the format you want.
Why do some of the books have words spelled wrong?
Some of our authors and editors are from Australia, Canada or England, so from time to time you'll see British/Canadian/Australian spelling in our books. Words like apologise, colour, honour and other United Kingdom English standard spelling will be found in these titles. They aren't typographical errors. Because we prefer to honor the native origins of our authors we let them keep the native spelling they are used to. The exception is when they are writing with an American author, or their work is featured in an anthology with American authors. Then we ask they change their spelling for consistency within the book.
What do I do if the book doesn't download?
This rarely happens, but if the book didn't download try again. If it still won't download contact customer service and we'll be happy to help you.
Can I share my ebook with friends?
If you are loaning them your ebook reader, yes. You cannot loan an ebook by emailing it or through peer to peer sharing. It would be a violation of copyright. If you'd like to give a friend a copy of an ebook, please purchase a gift certificate and send the certificate to them.
Where else can I buy your ebooks?

The Smashwords Store for Shadowfire Press. You can also find our erotic romance titles at All Romance eBooks and our non-erotic titles can be found at Omnilit. Selecet "search by publisher" and type Shadowfire Press into the search box to find all of our available titles. You can also some of our titles at Barnes and Noble by doing a search in 'ebooks' for each author's name or book title you are interested in purchasing. Not all Shadowfire Press books are curently available at these locations though we add more all the time.
Where can I find Shadowfire Press titles in print editions?
Shadowfire Press is a pro-green company. Because of this we try not to generate a lot of paper, and this includes paperback books which often wind up tossed into the waste basket. Because of our commitment to being greren, we don't plan to release our titles as print editions.
