Genre Fiction Guidelines Updated 31st January 2010

Open Call: 31 Days of Halloween Horror

Stories should be between 400-3000 words for this horror anthology we would like to put out for next Halloween. A Halloween theme is not needed, but it is acceptable. Reprints are fine, in fact we encourage you to send reprints you have the right to resell. More than one story per author is encouraged. We're offering a flat fee payment of $2-5 (depending on length)--yeah I know that's not a lot, which is why we're asking for reprints. We will split royalties after all flat fees are earned out so there is some potential for additional small payments if sales are good. We will be contracting all stories for 3 years.

These stories should be genre horror and should not have erotic content of any kind.

This antho will be released in late September 2010 so people can read 1 story a day for every day of October. Please send all submissions to Shadowfire Press with "Halloween 2010 Antho" in your subject line. Submissions will be taken until 1st August 2010.

Submissions for non-erotic works other than short horror fiction are currently closed.

We will reopen to non-erotic genre fiction on 3rd January 2011.
